Positive Ageing

The Aim of the Positive Ageing Forum is to provide an opportunity for consumers to hear current information about how older people can Positively Age. Presentations are aimed to educate and provide strategies to improve wellbeing in older adults. It is also to enable consumers to engage with Old Age Psychiatrists and Nurses. This is to help decrease stigma and fear of Old Age Psychiatry.

This Forum is Free to consumers in Seniors Week annually. Another aim is to expose consumers to access help and services available, ask questions about services, direct people where to get help and to dispel any Myths that are believed. The Psychogeriatric Nurses Association (PGNA) and the NSW Branch of the FPOA collaborate to hold the Positive Ageing Forum jointly. PGNA members are welcome but keep in mind the Forum is Not aimed at health professionals.
